The theme of our youth group here at Cornerstone is "The Lamp". We believe that as Christians we have been called to live lives that reflect outwardly the work Christ has done inwardly. Christ calls us to be salt and light, to be a city set on a hill (Matt. 5:13-16) and we strive to live this principle out in everything we do.

Our youth services are set up much like a small group Bible study. I plan my messages to involve lots of discussion on the part of the student. Many times it is easy to go through church and not really think about the things that are being taught and my hope is that through discussing the message content with the students, they will more deeply grasp the things we believe.

My passion is teaching sound Biblical doctrine to our teens thus equipping them to stand firm in a culture that continually drifts further away from The Truth (Eph. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 4:2-3; Titus 2:1). My hope is that our students will always be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in them (1 Peter 3:15), and while doing so keeping in mind our ultimate goal of loving God and loving others (Luke 10:27)

I look forward to spending time with your student and hope to see them this week!
