The vision of our youth group here at Southside perfectly coincides with the vision for our church as a whole-"Reaching the Lost, Equipping the Saved". On Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM we have our primary youth service that includes worship and a message. We seek to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and our sermons have both and evangelistic goal of reaching the lost and a maturity goal of equipping the saved. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Eph. 4:12)

The theme of our youth group is "The Lamp". We believe that as Christians we have been called to live lives that reflect outwardly the work Christ has done inwardly. Christ calls us to be salt and light, to be a city set on a hill (Matt. 5:13-16) and we strive to live this principle out in everything we do.

My passion is teaching sound Biblical doctrine to our teens thus equipping them to stand firm in a culture that continually drifts further away from The Truth (Eph. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 4:2-3; Titus 2:1). My hope is that our students will always be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in them (1 Peter 3:15), and while doing so keeping in mind our ultimate goal of loving God and loving others (Luke 10:27)
